The origin of the Biergärten (in German, “beer garden”) is situated in the German region of Bavaria, during the nineteenth century and has become a tradition with many followers. When the warm weather arrives, streets, squares and parks in the area are filled with typical terraces where the main product is beer and, secondly, the German typical gastronomy. The Poble Espanyol of Barcelona adapts this festive tradition, suitable for all ages and nationalities, and presents for the second consecutive year the Biergarten in Barcelona, where you can taste different kinds of beer and try German specialties food: hot dogs, bratwurst, Kartoffel salad, pretzels…

Beyond beer and good food will find fun contests (lifting jars, contests “the giant sausage” and “spicy sausage,” among others) and workshops brewing at home. All it enlivened with DJs and live performances. Oh, and if you have children, you not suffer, do not be short of proposals for the little ones!
